Description: 5 Star, Luxury Hotel in Jordan now searching for an experienced Chef de Cuisine for their Japanese restaurant.

We are assisting our Middle Eastern client in their search for an experienced Chef de Cuisine – Japanese.

The client operates a high end, 5-star Hotel in Jordan with 7 restaurants and conference venues. This property is part of a Global chain and has an excellent name. You will have a solid background in Japanese cuisine, have lived and worked in Japan for many years, with resort/hotel experience an advantage.  Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will have the opportunity to use amazing ingredients and delight the many regular diners along with tourists and guests with what you can create.  The Japanese restaurant is open 7 nights a week for dinner.

Japanese trained chefs have a great reputation and this clients next Chef de Cuisine needs to be a superstar. Our ideal candidate: 

  • Is trade qualified and has extensive experience working in Japan across all aspects of Japanese Cuisine.
  • Can lead, mentor and motivate a small team with differing backgrounds and nationalities
  • Can manage the kitchen whilst still enjoying cooking.  You like to lead and plan, but you love to cook and remain hands on
  • Possesses excellent communication skills, you like people and you enjoy speaking with guests.  You are approachable and professional.
  • Is dedicated to food quality and product control and has outstanding knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
  • Presentation and food quality is everything and your eye for detail is outstanding.
  • Is dedicated, ambitious and loyal – this is an overseas position and you will need to commit.  This client has been very specific about career stability.
  • Wants to live and work in the Middle East. This role includes single onsite accommodation only.
