Description: Modern Australian waterfront restaurant in Melbourne's South East is now recruiting for a Head Chef. Lead this small team and tantalise dinners with your kitchen skills.

Head Chef needed for this modern, waterfront venue located just over 30 km’s South East of the city. Open 6 days a week for breakfast and lunch, plus dinner 4 nights, they offer a modern Australian menu with an emphasis on seafood. With a brand new fit out this could be your opportunity to lead this small team, create a well loved menu and wow diners and the owner with your skills!

We are looking for applicants who:

  • Have experience working in a restaurant as a Head Chef or Head Cook
  • Enjoy leading and mentoring a small team and working for a family run business
  • Are flexible in their attitude and work hours.  This role does include weekend and shift work and the venue is closed on a Monday
  • Can work quickly and efficiency
  • Has a passion for food, an eye for detail and know how to maintain high standards of cleanliness and proper food handling standards
  • Are good communicators, are pro-active and have an innovative approach.
  • Work well under pressure, are reliable, punctual and organised.
  • Want to work in a lovely part of Melbourne’s South East with public transport options available
