We are assisting our New Zealand South Island based client in their search for an experienced Chef – Chef de Partie, specialising in Italian Cuisine.

This restaurant is described as a piece of Italy perched on the New Zealand beach front and has been wowing diners for many years.   Offering a la carte dining looking over the coast this is a popular place and is well known for offering excellent wood-fired pizza, exceptional pasta along with antipasti.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Is trade qualified and has at least 1-2 years’ experience working in a restaurant. This restaurant specialises in Italian cuisine so you do need experience in Italian cuisine.
  • Is dedicated to food quality and product control and has outstanding knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
  • Is pro-active, has common sense, is respectful, is punctual and has a positive attitude.
  • Is a great communicator and wants to be part of a bigger team of speciality chefs
  • Is dedicated, ambitious and loyal – this is an overseas position and you will need to commit
